It focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure (primarily the spine as well as all joints of the body) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. Chiropractors treat patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system, which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons of the body.
